Donation drive to help unhoused people in the South West this winter
22/10/2025 | Once again, community groups in the South West are organising a donation drive to help our neighbours who are unhoused.
Between 17 October and 28 November, bring clothes, items and basic hygiene products to one of the three drop-off points:
- Carrefour d’éducation populaire, 2356 Centre Street
- Mondays from noon to 4:30 pm
- Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 am to 4:30 pm and from 6 pm to 9:30 pm
- Thursdays from 9 am to 4:30 pm
- Friperie Madame Prend Congé, 1900 Grand-Trunk Street
- Tuesday to Thursday from noon to 5 pm
- Seniors’ Centre, 2401 Mullins Street
- Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm
Here are some examples of items we are looking for:
- Blankets, winter sleeping bags, tents
- Hats, mittens, scarves or neck warmers, warm socks, underwear, sweaters, warm trousers, overalls, boots, coats, hand warmers
- New hygiene products only: toothpaste, nail clippers, deodorant, razors, Q-tips, shampoo, conditioner, hair ties, lip balm, hand soap, body lotion, makeup remover wipes, Vaseline, body soap/shower gel, toothbrushes, shaving cream, tampons/sanitary pads, shower towels, hairbrushes, toiletries/travel kits, hand sanitiser, laundry soap, disinfectant wipes, toilet paper, aloe vera gel
