In November 2024, the Minister responsible for Seniors at the time, Sonia Bélanger, announced her intention to introduce a new national home support policy by December 2025.
The Clinic fears that this policy will fail to put an end to endless waiting lists, distance citizens from decisions and services that affect them, and compromise universal access to health services tailored to their needs.
The Clinic and its community partners are taking action to denounce the government’s worrying direction on home support.
