You are patients of a family doctor at the Clinic?

If you don’t have an urgent problem are asked to leave a message at the Ash Avenue secretary’s office (514 937-9251 option 2) every day of the week from noon to 8pm, to take an appointment with your doctor instead of going to the walk-in medical clinic.

How the walk-in service works at the Clinic?

››› Step 1
As users arrive at the reception desk on Ash Avenue, they will be given a number indicating the order in which they will be seen. Since the number of consultations is limited, users are encouraged to arrive at the Clinic at 8:00 a.m.

››› Step 2
Users will then be called by a nurse who will do an initial assessment of their health condition. This assessment will determine how urgently they need to be seen.

The priority users are given will depend not only on when they arrive at the Clinic, or their registration number, but above all on their health condition. If a person’s situation is urgent, the nurse will give him/her priority over other users. In some cases, the user does not have to see the doctor if the nurse can deal with the problem. Sometimes, when the problem isn’t urgent, the nurse may direct a user to another service that will be more suitable to meet his/her needs.

››› Step 3
The patient will then be seen by the physician on duty. Note that, most of the time, there is a waiting period between meeting with the nurse and seeing the doctor.

Prolonged absence of Doctor Annie McNicoll

To all my patients,

At the end of October 2017, I will be absent from the clinic to go to work with Doctors without borders for about 6 months. In the meantime, you can send me your requests (medicines to be renewed, blood tests to be made, etc.) or consult me if necessary. During my absence, if needed, you can consult in the "walk-in clinic" (a nurse, social worker, physician) at the CCPSC or at another clinic. My return will be scheduled around May 2018.

Thanks for your support,

Annie McNicoll, Md.
