Walk-in nursing services and prescriptions

A shortage of nurses is currently affecting the health network and unfortunately the Clinic is not escaping it.If you have no follow-up currently at the Clinic and have difficulty accessing nursing care and services, do not hesitate to contact Info-Santé by dialing 8-1-1. It is a free and confidential telephone consultation service that allows you to quickly reach a nurse in the event of a non-urgent health problem.

However, in the event of a serious problem or urgent need, it is important to call 9-1-1 or go to the emergency room.

If you are already being followed by a team from the Clinic and if you have problems accessing certain care and services, we invite you to contact your pivotal representative.

Note that the Board of Directors and the Coordinating Committee are following this situation very closely and have put in place means and actions to recruit and stabilize our nursing services. Rest assured that we are doing our utmost to support staff and to ensure the safety of services during this time.

You can see a nurse without an appointment Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 500 Ash Avenue

  • This service is for care that requires immediate attention.
  • The number of consultations is limited.
  • There is no registration in advance.

The nurse at the walk-in services can provide prescriptions in the following cases:

  • urinary tract infections (women aged 12 to 65)
  • treatment of conjunctivitis (eye infection)
  • treatment of lice (pediculosis)
  • treatment of stomatitis (adult) or thrush (children)
  • treatment of diaper rash
  • relief from constipation

  • hormonal contraception
  • emergency hormonal contraception
  • treatment of asymptomatic STBBI (chlamydia, gonorrhea)
  • treatment of vaginal infections (after receiving the vaginal culture)
  • acetaminophen
  • blood glucose test strips and lancets

Some nurses may prescribe and renew prescriptions for other types of problems (ex. contraception, wound care). Ask about their availability at the clinic’s reception desk.

At all times, our nurse is present to evaluate your condition to the best of their knowledge and direct you to the most appropriate resource.
