Let's get together - Families of Point St-Charles.

The activities of May 4th and 5th 2012 will be at St-Gabriel Elementary School, at 600 Dublin street.

Friday, May 4th 2012 from 5 to 8pm

A wonderful evening of getting to know one another where appetizers and cocktails will be served. Unveiling of the photography exhibit showing neighborhood families; find out who the contest winners will be! Bring the whole family!

Saturday, May 7th 2012 from 9:30 to 4pm

For the parents :

9:30: Welcome

10:00: Survey results on families in the neighborhood and the agenda for the day

10:30: In the morning, we will explore our concerns, our experiences as parents, and participate in a workshop to discuss issues that we face in our community: access to shops and local services; planning , transportation, security; cultural activities, recreational sports; childcare and social venues; elementary school and high School

12:00: FREE lasagna lunch

1:00: In the afternoon, we will find solutions to better meet the needs of families, working together to find the answers!

3:00: Bringing it all together! Two actors from Mise au jeu will present what they have heard throughout the workshops. We will discuss next steps to parents’ proposals for Point Saint-Charles, a neighbourhood that cares about its families.

For the children :

Children are front and centre! On-site activities for younger children, and for older children an outing to either the Ecomuseum or the Montreal Science Centre. Children must arrive by at St. Gabriel School at 9:30 AM. Bag lunches will be provided for these children.

The deadline to register your child for activities is April 26th.
